Too late to bridge? Discussing the role of gas in a “better recovery”
Covid-19 is an era-defining crisis impacting economies, employment and energy markets. Governments institutions and markets are responding on a massive scale committing trillions.

Energy outlooks have been reassessed, with some energy forecasters suggesting we saw peak fossil fuels in 2019. The pandemic has threatened the future gas demand more than any fossil fuel over the next 10-20 years due to structural weaknesses in the sector.

This webinar will discuss the case for gas in a “better recovery”, exploring the economic, policy and climate implications arising in its Covid-19 recovery. Carbon Tracker and E3G will explore gas within the EU context.

The panel discussion will dive a level deeper and open the conversation to a global outlook with perspectives from Michael Liebreich and Andrew Prag, OECD.

This event is co-hosted by Carbon Tracker and E3G.
